The Soul of the Greatest Show...

July 10, 2013: The American Circus

The soul of the great American Circus has truly died. What was once incredible and beautiful, so full of amazement is now but a ghost of what it once was. It's very lonely, the train, the travel, the people and the life I was so in love with is cold and empty now.

Cool thingsstill happen on the overlands, such as running into famous peopel at CVS Pharmacy in no where Arizona...or seeing the new things in each city... but its all a lie now...

No, the animals aren't treated badly, they are treated extremely well...it's the people inthis magical kingdom that have lost their royal stance. I miss Baby, my elephant, and King, my favorite tiger...the animals are what keep what little remains of this beautiful American treasure still alive...but the magic is dying...A magic that is now over 400 years old...and even older in other parts of the world...

Today's circus is just a chapter in it's own history...but much like all things, everything comes to it's end eventually, and I can see this treasure soon becoming a story that people once talked about but don't get to see anymore...it's not that far off I fear. Each show is almost like the last one...each moment, each song, it has started to repeat like a baroken record in the twiligh zone of life...it breaks my heart.
